Gen AILab

Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 October 2026

1. Who we are

Gen AI Lab operates Gen AI Lab and is responsible for your personal data. This policy explains what we collect and why, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable law.

2. What we collect

Account details such as your name, email, and phone number; profile details such as your photo, occupation, skills, goals, and bio; your onboarding answers; your posts, comments, projects, and messages; Lab, meeting, and certificate records; and technical data such as device, IP address, and activity logs.

3. Why we use it

To create and secure your account, place you in a group, draft your starting profile, run your Lab, issue and verify certificates, send service messages, keep the community safe, understand how the Service is used, and meet legal duties. Invite request details are used to contact you about access.

4. AI processing

Your onboarding answers are processed by an AI service to suggest your group and draft your profile. A person can review and change the result. We do not use AI decisions alone for actions that seriously affect you.

5. What others can see

Your profile is public by default, including your name, photo, headline, batch, group, and Looking For tags. You can make it private at any time. Public posts can be seen by anyone with the link. Other content follows the audience you choose.

6. Who we share with

Service providers that host, deliver email, process AI requests, and run meetings, under contract and only for these purposes; authorities when the law requires it; and a successor if our business is transferred. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect your account. Your display preferences are stored in your browser.

8. Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed for these purposes or as the law requires. Certificate records are kept so they can still be verified. If you delete a message or post, or your account is closed, it disappears from the Service at once, and we keep a copy for at least 30 days for safety, disputes, and legal reasons before it is removed. We use encryption and access controls, but no system is perfectly secure. We will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach as required by law.

9. Your rights

You can access, correct, or download your data, ask us to delete your account, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Write to help@example.com. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India. Withdrawing consent may end your access to parts of the Service.

10. Children

The Service is not for children unless a parent or guardian has given verifiable consent and we have allowed the account.

11. Changes and contact

We will tell you about material changes to this policy. Our Grievance Officer is [Grievance Officer name], reachable at help@example.com.
